What’s Off Limits? A Clear Look at the Areas We Don’t Clean

When booking a cleaning service, it’s natural to wonder what’s included—and just as important, what isn’t. At Sparkling Homes, transparency is key. We want you to feel confident knowing exactly what to expect from your cleaning, which is why we’ve outlined the few areas of the home that fall outside our services.
🧪 Biohazards
For safety reasons, we cannot clean areas that involve biohazards, such as mold, bug infestations of any kind, blood, pet or human waste, or anything that could pose a health risk to our cleaning team.
🔥 Fireplaces & Chimneys
While we do clean the exterior surfaces, maintaining the interior of fireplaces and chimneys requires specialized equipment and expertise, which is beyond the scope of our services.
🚫 Decluttering
We specialize in cleaning, not decluttering. To ensure we can give you the best results, closets, countertops, and storage areas should be tidied beforehand. Please take a moment to put away items like loose papers, pet toys, or children’s toys—anything that might prevent us from thoroughly cleaning those spaces.
⚡ High-Risk Areas
While we love making every corner of your home shine, there are a few limits for safety. Our team can only reach surfaces using a three-step ladder, so anything higher than that will be left untouched. This way, we keep both your home and our cleaners safe.
🧺 Laundry & Dishes
Our cleaning services do not include laundry (washing, drying, folding, or putting away) or dishwashing. We kindly ask that these tasks be completed prior to your appointment so our team can focus on providing a thorough cleaning of your sinks and surrounding areas.
🧹 Outdoor Services
Our focus is on the inside of your home. That means we don’t offer exterior window washing, power washing, or yard work of any sort.
